Transforming Health Care: Breaking Free to Build Impact
I'm not a health practitioner. But over the past decade, I've found deep purpose in helping health professionals who feel stuck—unable to practice the way they truly want. They're held back by systems that limit their ability to provide the care they envision, leaving both them and their patients frustrated.
I've seen this firsthand in the clinic I helped found with my best friend - a chiropractor and nurse practitioner. Patients walk in frustrated, saying, "My doctor says everything's fine, but I don't feel fine."
On the other side, health practitioners feel trapped, wanting to do more for their patients but unsure how to step away from traditional systems. What drives me is knowing there's a way to make this transition easier. My best friend faced this exact struggle. With faith, hard work, and the right tools, we built his dream practice.
Watching him succeed showed me what's possible: that with the right tools and mindset, practitioners can leave lasting, healing legacies—without needing massive teams or endless resources.
Today’s tools, especially innovations like AI, make it easier than ever for health professionals to start creating their own paths. Whether they're just starting or building on a foundation, these tools can help them work smarter, reach further, and feel more fulfilled, breaking them free from the systems that no longer serve them or their clients.
Welcome to Ops & Om. I started this newsletter to help readers find inspiration and tools to truly expand their voices and help many more.
In future issues, you can expect to read stories about overcoming challenges, tools that streamline work, mindfulness practices to stay grounded, and insights into balancing operations with “Om”—staying calm, healthy, and present through the process.
But let’s get back to this issue by saying:
It’s not the systems that are broken. The systems are simply not designed to support holistic, patient-centered care. People need better care options, and with the right tools and focus, health professionals have the power to deliver care in a way that truly improves health outcomes.
Key Takeaways
Here’s what you’ll learn in today’s issue:

Finding Purpose in New Paths
Health professionals often feel stuck in systems that prioritize routines over meaningful connections. While these systems provide safety, they can feel like a cage, stifling creativity and causing frustration.
Now imagine how patients feel in these situations.
Earlier, I referenced my best friend and the journey we’ve had in building the dream clinic. In his case, he knew his purpose: to help in ways he couldn’t within traditional systems. This required one thing above all else—innovation.
Despite his wealth of experience, knowledge, and sense of purpose, the path forward wasn’t clear. Personally, this is where I thrive—in the unknown. Together, we set two guiding principles: to educate and to help others grow. These principles became the compass for every decision, driving the creation of something truly meaningful.
Overcoming the Fear of Leaving Traditional Systems
Stepping away from a traditional system feels like stepping into the unknown. Fear of financial instability, losing patients, or failing to compete often looms large. These fears are valid—but they’re also solvable.
One of the most effective ways to ease this transition is by starting small.
For instance, creating a low-risk digital course allows practitioners to share their expertise with a wider audience while still maintaining their current practice. This could be something as simple as a short webinar series or a downloadable guide that addresses common patient concerns.
This isn’t unique to health professionals. When I started working in a field I had never touched before, I carried the same fears. How was I going to make it work? How would I prove myself? That’s a story for another time, but I can say this: the key is starting small, focusing on what’s manageable, and remembering to take care of our health first.
Small wins build momentum. Step by step, fears are replaced with the confidence that comes from seeing progress. By tackling one manageable piece at a time, you can transform uncertainty into meaningful action.
Creating Offers for Impact
Education is one of the most powerful ways to expand your reach. Today’s tools and platforms make it easier than ever to turn expertise into impactful products like courses, guides, or webinars.
For example, our first podcast started as a simple recording during a casual “board meeting” on the lake, on paddleboards. What began as an experiment became a cornerstone of how we teach health to an audience craving real answers.
With tools like AI, a single video or audio recording can now become a guide, blog post, or even the foundation of a course—turning one idea into a ripple effect of content.
Every day, I meet practitioners nearing retirement who want to pass their wisdom to the next generation. Digital courses are an increasingly popular way to achieve this.
In fact, the global e-learning market was valued at $227.34 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach $740.46 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 14.02%. This growth highlights how more professionals are embracing e-learning platforms to share their expertise and create a legacy. (Read the full report here.)
Education-based products aren’t just for patients—they’re for professionals seeking to leave a legacy and create long-term impact. However, even with the best tools, the process of building something meaningful requires more than just workflows and systems.
Balancing Operations and Om
Building something meaningful requires sustainability. Without mindfulness, the process of creation risks leading to burnout, undermining long-term goals.
From the beginning of the journey to build a dream practice, tools have continuously emerged to support the process. While exciting, the abundance of options can become overwhelming, leading to distraction and limited progress.
Staying calm, healthy, and present becomes essential for creating lasting change. Mindfulness offers the focus and intention necessary to ensure every step aligns with a greater purpose, providing clarity and resilience throughout the process.
Stay purposeful, stay mindful, and keep creating meaningful change.
See you soon.
